FARGO — There is now a third season in Division I FCS football following the regular season and playoffs and it’s not one any team looks forward to. For North Dakota State, it started Sunday following a second round exit.
It’s transfer portal season and the Bison are sure to have a few targets for some FBS schools with deep pockets.
“We have to have some conversations with guys,” head coach Tim Polasek said this week.
An early exit from the playoffs won’t help, especially with players going home over Christmas and away from the Bison football facilities. Last year in December, gearing up for FCS quarterfinal, semifinal and championship games had the entire attention of the players.
