Ashley and her Emily in Paris co-star were both dating the same physical human; Ashley and the actor have since broken up, and I wonder if her character and HIS character will follow suit (or if they did first, and it made it hard to stay together). Either way, if it’s a bittersweet press tour for her for that reason, I hope she continues to medicate herself with colors and coats and badass boots. She does it so well. The loud blouse is a kick, and the massive jacket with the ’80s shoulders is like a David Byrne homage, which works because the bottom half of the outfit is sleek boots and not gigantic billowing pants. (I dug around for a shot of her getting out of her car, and you can see she’s got on shorts that match the coat. There ARE bottoms. Just not ENORMOUS ones.)
