HAMPTON, Va. — Police said a homicide investigation is underway after a man died at a Hampton business.
The Hampton Police Division originally said Wednesday morning that a man died at the Van House Mobility Products on East Pembroke Avenue, and that it was a death investigation.
Later on Wednesday, police said the incident has been reclassified as a homicide.
"Further investigation determined that the victim, a 41-year-old male, sustained multiple stab wounds," the Hampton Police Division stated in a press release. "This remains an active and ongoing investigation. Detectives do not believe the incident was random, and there is no indication of any ongoing threat to the community."
Police have not released any information on a motive or suspect.
