Youngsters are going mad for cigars with Gen Z puffing away in nightclubs and university bars.

A new study by UCL has revealed 10% of young smokers have ditched fags for the old stogies. Experts reckon this is because the legislation around tobacco only applies to cigarettes, and cigars come in smaller packs.

Sarah Jackson, lead author of the study, said there’s been a “real shift” away from cigarette smoking to things like cigars and shisha. She said: “Now, around one in 10 young adults who smoke say they don’t smoke cigarettes at all, but they do use another combustible
