CLEVELAND, Ohio — St. Ignatius senior forward Domenic Ruggiero completed a historic season for the Wildcats.

He scored 31 goals, which placed him fourth all-time for a single season in program history. He also won Division I Ohio Player of the Year and Greater Cleveland Scholastic Soccer Coaches Association Player of the Year awards. Ruggiero is also the cleveland.com Boys Soccer Player of the Year for 2025.

“Entering my final season here, I wanted to score 20 goals, which I exceeded,” Ruggiero said. “One of our team goals was to win our annual Jesuit Cup, which we accomplished. We also set a goal to win another state championship, but we lost in the final.”

His 31 goals were the most in Division I, and his 16 assists ranked second.
