CAMPTI, La. (KALB) - Natchitoches Parish Sheriff’s Office reported an ongoing homicide investigation in the Village of Campti on December 10.
Before 1 a.m. Wednesday morning, a man reportedly called 911 saying they had found their relative suffering from what appeared to be stab wounds.
NPSO Deputies arrived at a mobile home in the 200 block of Lake Street in Campti at around 1 a.m. on Wednesday, where they located Everett Waldrup, 62, suffering from life-threatening blunt force trauma injuries.
EMS attempted to save Waldrup’s life, but were unsuccessful.
Waldrup was pronounced dead at the scene by Natchitoches Parish Coroner Steven Clanton.
According to NPSO, Waldrup’s body has been taken to a forensic pathologist in Shreveport to determine the exact cause of death.
