LIVINGSTON, La. (WAFB) - A Livingston Parish man was sentenced to spend 20 years behind bars after he pleaded guilty to a series of sex crimes involving juveniles.

Thomas Mauldin, 69, appeared before a judge on Monday, Dec. 8, and pleaded guilty to aggravated crimes against nature, two counts of second degree rape, sexual battery, and indecent behavior with a juvenile.

The case stems from incidents that took place between January 2013 and December 2015.

Assistant District Attorney Amanda Liotto prosecuted the case on behalf of the District Attorney’s Office. Along with the 20 year sentence, Mauldin will also be required to register as a sex offender for life, never contact his victims, and submit to chemical castration prior to release, in the event he is able to complete the 20-year ja
