Police have named a man who may have information after a victim was hit over the head by a hammer and dumbbell.

It happened in Hereford on Friday, December 5, with the casualty stamped on while he was on the floor.

He was taken to Hereford County Hospital with injuries to his head and leg.

Officers want to speak to 31-year-old Levi Doherty. West Mercia Police said it was believed Doherty was in the area at the time and could help with enquiries.

Two men have been charged with GBH in relation to the incident and are set to appear at Worcester Crown Court on January 6.
