Buellton’s Arts and Culture Committee, in coordination with the City Council, is debuting a new collection of downtown banner artwork in December as part of an ongoing series themed "Up in the Air!"

Continuing the series that kicked off in August to celebrate imagination, collaboration and the beauty of all things above, is the work of local artists Bridget Masaitis, Cookie Sun, Mia Mendez, Millie Firey, and Sheryl Schroeder.

This month's banner art is sponsored by the Pacific Gas and Electric Company.

A different design will be showcased each month under this year's running theme, featuring creations by local contributing artists ranging in age from 5 to 80.
