OIL CITY, Pa. - The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation has restored speed limits on major highways in Mercer County and the surrounding northwest region as winter weather continues to create hazardous driving conditions.
Speeds were restricted to 45 mph on Interstate 80 and Interstate 79. Officials implemented the changes on Wednesday morning in response to a mix of precipitation and freezing temperatures affecting the area.
As of 2:15 p.m. Wednesday, all speed restrictions have been lifted.
