A woman is suing the owner of a London fraternity house where six people were recently injured in fire, alleging she was seriously hurt two years ago during an overcrowded party at the home where guests were overserved alcohol.

The woman filed a $1.25-million lawsuit last month against the Pi Kappa Alpha fraternity and Mattison MacRae Chinneck, owner of a building at 925 Richmond St. in London occupied by the fraternity.

The allegations outlined in the Dorchester woman’s statement of claim stem from a party hosted by the fraternity, also known as Pike, at the Richmond Street house on Nov. 11, 2023. The lawsuit also lists six unnamed men – five occupants of the fraternity house and one guest at the party – as defendants.
