MIAMI, FL [KWWL] — Several Popeyes locations in Iowa will stay open for about six more months while the owner seeks to sell the business. This is part of a new federal court settlement.
Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen reached a settlement with JAM Equities and Asif Poonja. The settlement allows the Dubuque, Waterloo, Coralville, and four other locations to operate under a temporary license through June 30.
Documents indicate that the owners must sell the locations to approved buyers after Popeyes terminated their franchise agreements.
