A wanted Philadelphia gang member accused of three murders has been captured in Delaware County, the U.S. Marshals Service in Philadelphia announced on Wednesday, Dec. 10.
Tyvine Jones, 25, also known as “Eerd,” was arrested at an apartment complex on Lansdowne Avenue in Lansdowne after officials received an anonymous tip, according to the U.S. Marshals Service.
Jones, an alleged hitman and member of the North Philadelphia “Blumberg” gang, was wanted for three separate murders committed in the City of Philadelphia between 2020 and 2022.
The first killing occurred in August 2020 on the 2200 block of West Diamond Street, according to authorities. The second happened in May 2022 on the 1600 block of Erie Avenue, and the third in September 2022 on the 1600 block of Creston Street.
The victims were 16, 20, and 23 years old.
“Tyvine Jones was one of Philadelphia’s most wanted for his role in the murder of three individuals between 2020 and 2022,” United States Marshal for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania Eric Gartner said. “Together with our Philadelphia PD and other partners, our commitment to the citizens of Philadelphia remains steadfast: the relentless pursuit of violent fugitives such as Tyvine Jones, whose unrestrained existence serves only to diminish our great city.”
Jones had previously been the subject of a $5,000 reward offer for information leading to his arrest and was considered armed and extremely dangerous, authorities said.
