( 25News Now ) - Normal Police are advising those in Bloomington and Normal to take alternate routes after a train reportedly broke down.

Police said all crossings from Willow/Beech to East Emerson Street in Bloomington are blocked and will be until further notice.

Alternative routes include the Beaufort Street underpass or Towanda overpass.

The Illinois State University Police Department advised students to plan for extra time for finals.
