GROVE CITY, Pa. - A former Grove City Library board member who pled guilty in an embezzlement case will not be spending any time behind bars.
Forty-five-year-old Meghann Rigney pled guilty on Wednesday to one misdemeanor theft charge. She was sentenced to one year of probation and must complete 100 hours of community service.
The court had ordered Rigney to pay the library $10,300 in restitution. That restitution has already been paid.
Rigney's charge stems from an investigation that revealed $9,450 worth of unauthorized electronic debits made via an online payment service between March and July of 2025.
It was found that Rigney had been transferring money from the library's bank account into her personal bank account.
