SOUTH BEND, Ind. (WNDU) - The Mayflower bridge in South Bend has reopened after a weather-related delay pushed back the original reopening date.

The reopening was rescheduled less than a week ago due to cold weather conditions that prevented road work crews from completing necessary patchwork on the bridge.

While the Mayflower bridge is now open to traffic, Mayflower Road remains closed as construction continues on the nearby Ardmore Trail Bridge.

The road is expected to reopen in early 2026.
