FAYETTEVILLE -- New University of Arkansas football Coach Ryan Silverfield has reportedly added more staff on the defensive side of the ball, while former Razorback offensive line coach Eric Mateos has landed a position in the Big Ten, the Arkansas Democrat-Gazette has confirmed.

Deron Wilson, the Arkansas cornerbacks coach in 2023 and 2024, and CJ Wilford are set to join in the secondary, per reports from Matt Zenitz of CBS Sports.

Mateos, whose offensive line was graded the top unit in the country by the site Pro Football Network this season, is on the way to join the Wisconsin staff of Coach Luke Fickell. He would be a third former Arkansas assistant at Wisconsin, joining quarterbacks coach Kenny Guiton and cornerbacks coach Paul Haynes.
