Twenty athletes on Cedar High School's state championship football team recently received 3A South all-region honors, including player of the year Everett Kelling and defensive player of the year Dax Wankier.

The honorees were selected by a vote of the region’s coaches. In addition to Kelling and Wankier receiving player of the year honors, six players were named to the All-Region first team, six named to the second team and six received honorable mention.

As previously reported , the Reds capped off an undefeated 13-0 season with a 41-35 win over Manti in the state championship game on Nov. 15, earning the first state football title in the school’s 75-year history.
