TOLEDO, Ohio — A Toledo mother is pleading for answers as the search continues for her missing 19-year-old son, Jeremiah Porchia .

Danetta Walker says the last message she received from Jeremiah came on Nov. 24. In the text, he told her: “You can come get your car from downtown at the water by ProMedica... love you… blessings a heaven… keep going… and have fun… dwelling in eternity.”

Police have reported Porchia missing and believe he may still be in the downtown area.

Jeremiah first connected with WTOL 11 two years ago while speaking out against youth violence with the local program Young Men and Women for Change. “These people need mentors in their lives to be able to capitalize off of,” he said at the time.
