BENGALURU: Talk about the hunter becoming the hunted — twice over. A thief returning from a break-in was robbed of his loot of cash and gold by four youths beside a cemetery. He refused to leave empty-handed and committed two more burglaries to "fix" his luck before police nabbed all five. The chain of events began on Nov 22 when Ishay Raj, 30, a habitual offender from Amrutahalli, broke into a locked house in Mandur, northeast Bengaluru, and escaped with 330 grams of gold and Rs 25,000. He arrived on a stolen scooter, parking it near a cemetery before slipping inside the house. When Raj returned with the haul, four youths confronted him, demanding to know what he was doing there.
