At 11:54 p.m. on Wednesday, the National Weather Service released a winter weather advisory valid from Thursday 1 a.m. until Friday 7 a.m. for St. Lawrence, Franklin and Clinton counties.
"Snow accumulations between 2 and 7 inches with higher amounts in the mountains. Winds gusting as high as 40 mph," can be expected according to the weather service. "The heaviest snow is expected Thursday evening and Thursday night."
"Travel could be very difficult. Areas of blowing snow could significantly reduce visibility. The hazardous conditions will impact the Thursday morning and evening commutes," explains the weather service. "Slow down and use caution while traveling."
