For the past six months, I didn’t feel like myself. I was constantly anxious, overthinking everything, and staying awake till late because my mind just wouldn’t stop. Even the smallest things felt overwhelming. That’s when I finally decided to speak to a psychologist, because I knew something wasn’t right.
During my session with Nistha Dabas, an Onco-Psychologist & relationship and mental wellness expert at Manipal Hospital, Dwarka, she gently told me that I might be experiencing post-traumatic anxiety. She explained that it’s actually very common, especially when your body is still reacting to something stressful from the past. Hearing that made me feel less scared and less alone. She also reminded me that anxiety is manageable with the right tools, and that gave me hope.
