Ukrainian president Volodymyr Zelenskyy submitted a new peace plan to the US administration last night following a flurry of meetings with European counterparts.
It comes after Donald Trump’s 28-point plan to end the Ukraine war leaked last month.
It immediately sparked fears it was too pro-Russia because it involved major capitulation on Kyiv’s part.
But, when the US administration tried to pitch a watered down version, the Kremlin rejected it.
Trump has since blamed Zelenskyy for the delays in the peace process, so the Ukrainian leader touched down in London on Monday to draw up with an alternative proposal with Keir Starmer, Emmanuel Macron and Friedrich Merz.
