SUMMIT COUNTY Ohio (WOIO) - One person was killed and a second person injured in a fire late Wednesday evening in Barberton
Flames broke out a home in the 100 block of 16th St. NW around 11:40 p.m.
911 callers reported there were possibly people trapped inside.
When firefighters arrived on scene, they said they found heavy smoke and fire coming from the second floor windows.
The blaze was brought under control by 12:16 a.m.
Firefighters said one victim was found outside the home and transported to Barberton Hospital by the New Franklin Fire Department. No condition has been released.
The second victim was found dead inside the home.
No information on either victim is being released at this time.
The State Fire Marshal has been called to the scene to help with the investigation and
