Twenty-one people are feared dead after a truck carrying road construction workers plunged into a deep gorge in Arunachal Pradesh’s Anjaw district.
The vehicle was transporting labourers along the Hayuliang–Chaglagam Indo-China border road when it suddenly lost balance and fell into the gorge on December 8.
Police officials said the accident occurred at a dangerous mountain bend on an extremely narrow road with steep gradients. The workers were heading to a border road construction site when the truck veered off the edge.
