RICHLAND COUNTY, S.C. — South Carolina Highway Patrol Corporal Nick Pye reports a fatal collision in Richland County.

Collision occurred around 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, December 10, on Rauch-Metz Road, near Broad River Road in Irmo. A 2001 Ford pick-up was traveling south on Rauch-Metz Road when it ran off the right side of the road, striking a tree.

The driver of the vehicle sustained fatal injuries at the scene.

Highway Patrol is investigating the incident.
