WASHINGTON — A single lot of ReBoost Nasal Spray is under recall due to microbial contamination, the FDA warned Wednesday.
MediNatura New Mexico issued a voluntary recall of the nasal spray after it was found to contain yeast and or mold and microbial contamination with Achromobacter. The contamination could lead to adverse health effects, including life-threatening infections for the immunocompromised population.
The New Mexico-based company said it has not received any reports of "adverse events" related to this recall.
ReBoost Nasal Spray is a homeopathic nasal spray used to temporarily relieve nasal congestion, sinus headache and pressure, postnasal drip, sneezing, runny nose and nasal itching, according to the notice. It is packaged in a 20mL bottle and in a white-and-yellow car
