The HBCU Superlative Awards were announced Monday, Dec. 8, led by Alabama State quarterback Andrew Body.

Body, the Offensive Player of the Year, completed 113 of 160 passes for 1,770 yards with 20 touchdowns to an interception this season, also rushing for 518 yards and four scores. Delaware State first-year coach DeSean Jackson took home Coach of the Year honors. Jackson, a former All-Pro receiver with the Philadelphia Eagles , led Delaware State to an 8-4 record with a win over Norfolk State, where his former teammate Michael Vick coaches.
