As other provinces sell off blacklisted bourbon and shunned Chardonnay for charity, Ontario is “exploring options” for its stockpile of American alcohol in LCBO warehouses.

“In the face of President (Donald) Trump’s tariffs taking direct aim at our economy, we directed the LCBO to remove U.S. made alcohol from their shelves,” Finance Minister Peter Bethlenfalvy’s office said Wednesday.

“U.S. alcohol will remain off shelves and is being held in storage until further notice. We are currently exploring options for the products,” Bethlenfalvy spokesperson Emily Hogeveen added in a statement.
