Police didn’t supply a fluffy outcome for a Guelph woman charged after a number of Jellycat plush toy thefts from a Kitchener business.

Police said between Oct. 25 and Dec. 6, stuffed toys valued at approximately $2,000 were taken from a business on Ottawa Street South.

Waterloo Regional Police used a search warrant at a Guelph residence Tuesday and recovered about 140 stolen toy items, valued at an estimated $7,500. Most of the recovered items, police said, were Jellycat toys and were believed to have been stolen from across southwestern Ontario.

A 52-year-old was charged with theft under $5,000, possession of stolen property over $5,000 and trafficking in stolen property.

She is scheduled to appear in a Kitchener court Jan. 12.
