With no winners on Wednesday night, the Powerball jackpot has rolled to $1 billion ahead of its next drawing.

The estimated $1 billion jackpot has a cash value of $461.3 million.

The jackpot has not been won since Sept. 6, when two winning tickets sold in Missouri and in Texas split a $1.787 billion prize.

Someone in Massachusetts won a $50,000 lower-tier prize on Monday night, by matching four of the first five numbers and the Powerball number on the ticket they bought at the Shaw’s grocery store in Whitinsville.

There were no lower-tier prize winners in the state on Wednesday, when the drawing was for $930 million.

The next Powerball drawing will be held at 10:59 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 13.
