A woman has been banned from wearing wigs while shopping after receiving a 36-week prison sentence for a string of thefts. Rachael Cole stole merchandise valued at £964 from retailers in Hook and Liphook, Hampshire, during the period spanning November 10 to December 1.

The 44-year-old, living in Warren Close, Whitehill, Hampshire, pleaded guilty to four theft charges at Basingstoke Magistrates' Court. Alongside her custodial sentence, Cole was subjected to a criminal behaviour order preventing her from sporting hairpieces or face coverings within shops.
