LINCOLN, Neb. (KOLN) - Well above average high temperatures are in the forecast for most of the area today. Friday is going to be much colder thanks to a cold front moving through the area. Snow is possible Friday night into Saturday.

This morning will be mostly cloudy to cloudy, then decreasing clouds this afternoon. There could be some flurries, light snow showers, light rain showers, or light wintry mix this morning. Very little to no ice or snow accumulation expected. High temperatures look to range from the low 30s in Northeastern Nebraska to around 70 in the southwestern part of the state. Winds should be south and southwest at 5 to 15 mph.

Cold front moves through the area tonight into Friday morning. That will lead to a much colder Friday. Low temperatures should be in the low 20
