Movement of heavy vehicles along Amlarem-Dawki stretch suspended

Jowai, Dec 11: Plying of heavy vehicles along the Amlarem-Dawki road will be suspended on December 12 and 13.

The Sub-Divisional Public Relations Officer, Amlarem Sub-Division informed that the restriction is to ensure smooth conduct of the Tri-Hills Festival, 2025 in Darang village and to facilitate the movement of visitors, officials, and participants attending the event.

The restriction follows a request from the Department of Arts & Culture, the organisers of the festival, in view of the expected high footfall during these dates, a press release said.

The office has urged public, transporters, commercial vehicle operators, and all concerned agencies to cooperate and adhere to the temporary traffic regulation.
