After two seasons as Michigan’s head football coach, Sherrone Moore is out of a job. Moore was fired Wednesday due to an inappropriate relationship with a staff member.

The latest episode of the Wolverine Confidential podcast discussed the breaking news.

“It’s a tenure that never really got off the ground, in my opinion,” co-host Andrew Kahn said about Moore’s time at Michigan. The Wolverines, who are 9-3 entering their Citrus Bowl matchup with Texas, went 8-5 last season. Officially, Moore’s head-coaching record is 16-8, as he was suspended for wins this season but was credited for a victory filling in for Jim Harbaugh in 2023.

Either way, next year was going to be a critical one as far as assessing Moore’s abilities as a coach. He will no longer have that chance.
