Two arrested on drug charges after complaints from Henry County residents

BASSETT, Va. (WDBJ) - A man and a woman were arrested Tuesday after community complaints led to a search warrant being served in Henry County.

Sarah Burnette Foster, 37, of Bassett, is being held in jail with no bond, charged with possession of Schedule I or II drugs. Pierre Quartez Scales, 35, of Martinsville, is being held with a $2,500 secured bond, charged with resisting arrest, obstructing justice without threats of force and possession of Schedule III drugs.

The night of December 10, 2025, the Henry County Sheriff’s Office conducted a narcotics search warrant on Longview Drive in Bassett.
