STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — For Leanna Chow, everything happened so quickly.
Moore Catholic’s starting shortstop, who will be a four-year starter by the time she graduates next spring, attended a Monmouth University softball camp last June and she thought she played well.
“It was one of my better camps,’' admitted Chow of the June 19th event. ”I performed well.’'
So much so, Monmouth softball head coach Morgan Royer asked her to make an unofficial visit, which she did just 11 days later.
By the time Chow left that visit, she was formally offered and she recently signed a National Letter of Intent to a partial athletic, partial academic scholarship to the Division 1 school, the Advance/SILive.com has learned.
“I’m 100% happy. I always wanted to play Division I softball and stay close to home
