With the one-year anniversary of the New Year's Day terror attack approaching, city leaders are discussing ways to bolster security on Bourbon Street.

Currently, temporary bollards are in place along Bourbon Street, but city leaders are considering other solutions.
They are looking at a plan to install gates called secure guards at certain intersections that can be more easily closed during special events like New Year's Eve, the Sugar Bowl, and Mardi Gras.
The big concern is the price tag of this contract.
Leaders aren't planning to approve anything until Mayor-elect Helena Moreno's
