GRAND TRAVERSE COUNTY — A proposal for a new hotel at Cherry Capitol Airport was presented on Wednesday, Dec. 12, to the airport authority zoning board, aiming to provide travelers with accommodations before early flights.
The proposed hotel will feature 89 units, an event space, and a rooftop bar overlooking the runway, addressing the long-standing demand from travelers for overnight accommodations at the airport.
Developers have been planning the hotel project for over a year, starting with initial discussions that eventually led to the current proposal.
