LINCOLN, Neb. (KOLN) - A Lincoln man accused of repeatedly groping a 12-year-old girl appeared in Lancaster County Court on Wednesday.
Marcos Rivera, 43, was charged with third-degree sexual assault of a child and intentional child abuse resulting in no injury. A judge set his bond at 10% of $200,000.
A woman reported Rivera to the Lincoln Police Department on Oct. 7, 2024, after becoming suspicious of Rivera who was living inside her apartment at the time. She told police Rivera often entered the bedroom her children shared in the middle of the night.
The woman set up a motion-activated digital camera in the children’s bedroom. Court documents say the footage showed Rivera entering the room wearing boxer shorts and reaching into a 12-year-old girl’s bed.
