FRANKFORT, Ky. —

The suspect charged in a deadly shooting at Kentucky State University earlier this week was arraigned in court on Thursday.

It all unfolded around 3:35 p.m. Tuesday, when the Frankfort Police Department responded to KSU for a report of an "active aggressor." Advertisement

Two people were shot, including 19-year-old De’Jon Darrell Fox, Jr., from Indianapolis , who died in the shooting.

Frankfort police have identified the suspect as 48-year-old Jacob Bard of Evansville, Indiana. Bard has been charged with murder and assault and police said he is a parent of a KSU student.

Bard appeared in court via Zoom on Thursday and entered a not guilty plea to those murder and assault charges. A judge set Bard’s bond at $1 million, which is double what the commonwealth’s attorne
