DAVENPORT, Iowa (KWQC) - A Rock Island man will spend years behind bars for illegally possessing a machine gun.

Juwan Attron Johnson, 28, also known as “Chubbs,” was sentenced to 48 months in federal prison for possessing a machine gun conversion device, according to a media release from the United States Attorney’s Office Southern District of Iowa. Johnson is also prohibited from possessing firearms and ammunition because he is a felon, including a 2017 conviction for voluntary manslaughter.

After completing his term of imprisonment, Johnson will be required to serve a two-year term of supervised release.
