A coroner will investigate the circumstances leading to the death of an 84-year-old woman who was found unconscious by a snowplow operator at the side of a residential street in Longueuil early Thursday morning.
The woman, whom police have not identified publicly, was unconscious when she was found on the ground on Labonté St. She was not dressed appropriately for the cold weather, police said.
Efforts to revive the woman, including cardiopulmonary resuscitation, were made before she was taken to a Longueuil hospital, where she was pronounced dead, said Mélanie Mercille, a spokesperson for Longueuil police.
