GREENVILLE, N.C. (WITN) - It’s that time of year again when shoppers are hitting the stores to check everything off their holiday lists.

“I’m spending a lot of money. It’s hard to keep it in my pocket, especially around the holidays,” shopper Kyle Schmidt says.

As consumers have noticed an overall price increase, some Greenville shoppers say it’s important to stick to a budget.

“Stay within your means,” Schmidt says. “While yes, there are a lot of good deals going on, don’t go overboard. Just stick to a nice little budget for each person, twenty, thirty bucks.”

With holiday deals like Black Friday and Cyber Monday leading into Christmas shopping, people can end up overspending for the holiday season.
