A man is sought for an “unprovoked” attack on a TTC rider who fell asleep on the subway last week.

And investigators have now released images of a suspect hoping someone can help identify him.

Toronto Police say officers responded that occurred onboard a TTC train near Eglinton West Station on Dec. 1.

The victim boarded the southbound train on the Yonge University Line just before 6 a.m., police said in a statement released Thursday.

“The victim fell asleep and woke to the suspect assaulting him,” police alleged, explaining the TTC passenger was assaulted “repeatedly.”

“This attack was unprovoked,” police added.

The victim, who police said did not know the attacker, suffered “non-life-threatening injuries.”
