HONOLULU (Island News) – The man involved in an Attempted Murder incident against a Honolulu Police Officer, has been charged.
Joshua Perrypruski, 35, was charged with Attempted Murder on a Law Enforcement and two counts of Attempted Assault on a Law Enforcement Officer. His bail was also set at $500,000.
The Honolulu Police Department (HPD) placed Perrypruski under arrest for Attempted Murder on a Law Enforcement Officer and an outstanding warrant on Tuesday, December 9, 2025. He was initially under a $20,000 warrant.
The incident occurred on Tuesday morning when officers responded to a disturbance on Kuhio Ave, which resulted in an HPD officer sustaining injuries. Perrypruski was initially taken into custody and was also taken to a nearby hospital for a mental health evaluation.
