MONROE COUNTY, Ga. — The Monroe County Sheriff's Office said in a release that they arrested two people and charged both with trafficking oxycodone.
In the release, the sheriff's office said they arrested Antoine Seymore, 48 and James Whitiker, 44, after a traffic stop on Interstate-75.
The release said deputies stopped a vehicle on I-75 northbound at mile marker 191. Deputies said they smelled a strong odor of marijuana and elected to search the vehicle.
According to the release, deputies found 5.5 ounces of suspected drugs, including around 300 oxycodone pills in a Turtles chocolate pecan candy bag in the rear passenger seat.
The release said both were charged with trafficking oxycodone. It added the two were brought to the Monroe County Jail without bond.
