NACOGDOCHES, Texas (KTRE) - Dozens of people gathered Thursday for Nacogdoches ISD’s ribbon-cutting of its news ‘Professional Development Center.

Nacogdoches ISD Superintendent Grey Burton said community partners and faculty used the space for meetings earlier this week. All future school board meetings will be held at the new facility.

“We’re already putting it to use. Everybody has been real responsive. We have five meeting rooms that are smaller rooms that we could actually host things in, so it’s been great,” he said.

The building has a 350-person capacity. Burton said it allows the district to hold large gatherings or trainings for teachers and staff.
