A tragic road accident occurred in the early hours of Friday, when a private bus carrying nearly 35 passengers plunged into a deep gorge in Andhra Pradesh’s Alluri Sitarama Raju (ASR) district. Preliminary information indicates that 10–15 people are feared dead.
The passengers residents of Chittoor district, were travelling from Bhadrachalam to Annavaram after offering prayers at the Bhadrachalam temple. Officials said survivors have been rushed to the Bhadrachalam Area Hospital for urgent medical treatment.
Early reports suggest that the driver lost control while navigating the sharp curves, causing the bus to veer off the road and fall into the ravine.
Authorities have launched rescue operations, and further details are awaited.
