“Avoidable” hospital and ambulance care delays contributed to a 21-month-old baby’s death, an inquest has heard.
Artemis ‘Arty’ Sanson died within four hours of becoming unwell at his home last year after suffering seizures.
The youngster, from Chatham, had been well during the day of June 8 last year, the hearing in Maidstone heard on Thursday (December 11).
But at around 10pm, after being put to bed, his mother Storm Sanson heard screams from the tot, who had been sick, was shivering, and had blue lips.
Coroner Catherine Wood told the court how an ambulance was called and Arty was being transferred to Medway when, within minutes of getting in the vehicle, he started to have a seizure.
